How long does an F2 coating last?Updated 16 days ago
An F2 coating is extremely durable and designed not to wear down or leach into the water. With correct application and typical use, F2 lasts for at least five years, and often much longer.
Why is F2 so durable?
No Leaching or Abrasion: Unlike traditional antifouling, which continuously dissolves in the water, F2 remains on your hull as a hard, intact layer. It doesn't wear away or release any pollutants.
Easy Refreshing: If the effect diminishes after many years, a complete reapplication isn't necessary. Simply clean the surface and apply a new layer of F2 Top Coat. The rest of the coating system remains intact.
UV Stable and Durable on Land: The F2 coating is UV-resistant and can stay on land indefinitely without losing its effectiveness or flaking off.
Protection Against Structural Damage: Even if your boat remains motionless in the water for an extended period, F2 protects your hull from damage by excessive fouling, as microorganisms cannot penetrate the surface.
This long-lasting protection ensures continuous performance and saves long-term costs for maintenance and repairs.
